Matching Games & AV is an intimate and exclusive matchmaking event dedicated to game studios and Film/TV/Media production companies who are ready to expand their IPs, formats, and creative visions to other formats.
WHEN: Thursday 13 November 2025 from 12.30 to 17.30
WHERE: Event Halls, Metropolia Arabia Campus (Hämeentie 135 D, Helsinki)
WHO: AV production companies and game studios
Digital Creative Industries and Beyond (DCIB) project, Espoo Game Lab and HEVinnovations are on a mission to bring together Finland’s most forward-looking AV production companies and game studios for an exclusive networking event.
The goal of the event is to spark new ideas, collaborations and business opportunities across the boundaries of film, TV and games.
Whether you have an IP that could expand into a game, a studio looking for story-driven worlds to build upon, or simply want to explore the future of transmedia and make new connections, this event is for you.
What to Expect?
Matching Games & AV is a focused, high-impact networking afternoon with only 20 carefully selected companies. The day includes:
Inspiration: A keynote by Joni Lappalainen (CEO & Co-founder, Dreamloop Games) and Pauliina Piipponen (Producer, Making Movies Oy) on building shared visions across industries: Case Alma.
Showcases: Quick 2-minute intros from each participating company.
Speed-dating: Ten 5-minute face-to-face meetings with companies from the other sector to maximize new connections.
Networking: Coffee, informal chats, and plenty of time to continue conversations.
Who Can Apply & How?
If your AV production company or game studio has any interest in exploring new ways of collaboration with transmedia, and/or expanding your stories to new formats, this event is for you.
We are looking for Helsinki Capital Region based:
• AV production companies with IPs, formats, or creative visions interested in interactive media and cross-industry co-productions with games.
• Game studios with IPs, formats, or creative visions interested in interactive media and cross-industry co- ctions with AV.
To make the experience as impactful and meaningful as possible, only 10 AV companies and 10 game studios will be selected. Priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate clear interest in cross-industry collaboration and have relevant IPs, projects, or visions to share.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday 22 October 2025.
Participation at the event is free of charge.
